The Schools latest solar powered lawn mower in action.

The shorter days combined with the recent damp overcast weather has only really benefited the Kids schools latest lawn mower!
Despite the reduced solar input the productivity has increased.
This mower, just like the countless ones they have had visit before, is fully solar powered and roams around the school grounds reducing the length of the grass which grows in the sunshine.

This photo was taken at 3:15pm. I used a lot of zoom so not to scare it away.
S/he is still only small, easily scared and oh so cute.

Something from the past

The kids school is an old one. Lots of old sandstone used in buildings, steps and meeting areas. Recently they had some new sandstone steps installed. The kids have been running up and down them for many months now, yet not one of them saw it.



I am sure this was just an amazing fluke but fancy seeing a fossil shell just sitting there all this time. Something very old but also something at home embedded in and surrounded by sandstone.
